20-slot SFP Linecard for IES-5000/5005/6000
ELC1220G-55 is a fiber-based line card which can be used in existing IES-5000, IES-5005 and IES-6000 systems.
The ELC1220G-55 has 20 open slots to accommodate various SFP transceiver, including 100Base-FX, 100BASE-BX, 100BASE-LX and 100Base-EX. Network operators can select suitable optical transceivers for different loop length requirement.
There can be two different
scenarios by using ELC1220G-55 to provide FTTH service. The first is launching
the service from the central POP (e.g., using IES-6000 as the master MSAN). The
second is launching the service from the remote side (e.g., using IES-5005 as
the remote MSAN in the basement of buildings). In the customer's site, the CPE
could be bridge, router or IAD. with 100base-X WAN port (e.g.,
ES-
315F).
The 100Mbps symmetric bandwidth will be much enough to support IP-based triple
play applications for a single subscriber.
